The rocky shore can be found at Pulau Merambong located at the mouth of the Pulai River bordering Singapore. It is a rather small but interesting island fringed by reef and mangroves. Pulau Merambong hosts diverse invertebrate species ranging from corals, sea anemone, sponges, starfish, sea cucumbers, barnacles, octopus etc.

The rocky shore survey can only be executed at low tide and involves the use of measuring tape and quadrat. You will be guided by the coordinator through species identification and population estimation.
